bought some smd's for the dash conversion..

ive just received them and i sware you can just about see the things they are tiny, i kind of took a guess at which ones i needed as its the only site that take the card i wanted to pay with
can anybody tell me if these are in fact correct?

i just orderd a hundred of them off ebay... dident cost me alot
they look like they will work..
might be a bit bright though.

for doin just the illumination behind the dials, prolly 10-20,
for the whole dash illumination prolly about 30-40

Are they the PLCC-2 type??

I got mine from farnell... 79p iirc. Or rapid do them. Main reason the PLCC 2 ones are better is because you have an annoying hole inbetween each pad that the LED sits on. Those ones should work though but id of got the PLCC-2 type.

Im going to change them soon to multi colour, blue/red as i want to make the aircon LCD Blue. At the moment its Red.

P.s you has better be good at soldering!

right well i only have 9 of these and im going to have to get some more, so could somebody give me a link to some that will do the job perfectly?
the ones on rapid looked the best as it said they were ok for backlighting but they dont accept electron.
about the most fiddly soldering i've done is i used to chip xbox's so best of luck to me lol
