Boxing Day 'Clean Boot' Hunt

Just a few from yesterday.

It was a really nice meet and the people were really friendly. Had a chat to a lot of the riders between hunts and even over the jump lol.

For those who do not know, this is 'clean boot' hunting. There is no fox, no scent of an animal. The hounds sniff the runner, he runs, and then they chase him up to a certain point. Hounds, horses and runner get a drink and a rest and off they go again!

Already had some comments elsewhere saying the dogs would be off after a fox if one appeared! I did try to explain that these gentle giants actually don't chase foxes and ironically there was one in the field which they all ignored to get to the human!

Went to the boxing day hunt as i do every year at hagley hall.
Is just a scented hunt so no animals are harmed. Is a great way to see horses and dogs in action.
Other halfs horse.
