fine, but you shouldn't need to "top up"

have you checked your brake pads recently?

They were replaced around september-ish time mate when I had it serviced so they'll be fine. It definately needs topping up...got a brake fluid low warning when I had my MOT done, bunch of b******s didn't even top it up for me!

i would seriously check your pads

the only reasons the brake fluid level drops is

1) you have a leak
2) your pads are worn out

OK thanks mate i'll have a look tomorrow. Would they seriously wear out in 6 months max. though? I'll check if I can see a leak aswel. If it is a leak it must be very slight as there is never any fluid on the floor under where my car has been. Also if it was either of these problems would they not surely of flagged it up at my MOT just over a month ago?!

Mines the same, not long had the front pads done. I know the rear pads need doing, but my abs light has come on.Low rear pads wouldnt cause this, would it?
So am gonna top up the brake fluid, where is the reservoir? Had a quick look and cant see it.

The reservior is on the back firwall behind the engine on the drivers side you have to remove the engine cover usually to find it.
