Brake switch fault ... someone help?

Wonder if someone could help me..

I have to depress the foot pedal at least half inch/possibly inch before the switch itself will activate the brake lamps, does anyone know how to adjust the brake switch itself to activate on touching the pedal as its an inconvenience braking at low speeds in traffic and not seeing the brake lamps light up.


Anyone done it?
