brakes question just a quicky!!! ;-)

hi guys just had my mot and they said my front pads are 50% worn and my rears are 40% however when i am travelling at high speed and brake heavily there is a rumbling sound coming from the brakes what could this mean i know it has been very wet recently or could it be my discs? these would have been picked up on wouldnt they? or not?

possibly not, i know when my MOT was last done my discs were low but they never even checked them only the wear of the pads.

they could be warped, resulting in the rumbling, but really not that sure as im not a mechanic lol

Do you get vibrations through the steering wheel when braking at high speeds?

If so, your discs are probably warped.

I always try not to sit on the brakes after heavy braking.

cheers for that mate yeah defo rumbling from front but as i said only when i braking really really harsh from high speeds...how much are front discs then any suggestions?

Wheel bearings, CV joints, or just the fact your braking unusually hard.
Hard to describe a noise so Its equally hard to diagnose.
