Brakes stuck on!

As many of you know, my car has been off the road for some time now while Ive been working on it. For the past few weeks, the wheels have been off and I wont get them back for about another week yet (being refurbed).

Ive just been outside and noticed that my brake pads are all stuck to the discs! Will they separate easily when I get the wheels back on and give them some power?!

Cheers!

I havent used the car properly since the Brands hatch meet on 24th November!

Just before Brands, some builders dropped some stuff on the car and the bonnet/front bumper had some chips on them anyway. The car at that stage had just got its "new" Phase 2 wheels and they were looking a bit shabby.

So the next weekend after Brands, I started preparing the car and the week after it went in to have the bonnet, front bumper and n/s/r wing sprayed (to get rid of builders the dents) and spoiler colour coded. While the bumper was off I got new fogs and new plain registration plates. Once Id put that lot back together, I drove it back home to Wales for a week and garaged it. I got back to Bristol on December 31st, and have had the wheels off it since. The people who are refurbing them are taking their time, but Im not too worried as Im missing out on the stone chips and fuel bills!

So the brakes have had plenty of time to rust together! Ill have the 16v back on the road by the Midlands RR.

Ben, mines been off the road a while too mate. Brakes were stuck like fuk. Best thing to do is rock it back and forward every couple of days to unstick them and make sure they dont stick again. And leave it in gear rather than with the handbrake on!
