Broadband Providers!?

  Civic Vtec y0
With BT atm and im really getting ripped off and could never be bothered to change providers!

But now they are stopping the service!?

Who are you's with and what likes/dislikes do you have with them? Also any major problems you have encountered and prices you pay?

I just really use the net for browsing, dont play any games or download too much!

Cheers

I've just switched from BT to SKY.

Only costs me £10 per month for 16Mb Max service.

Worth doing if you have sky or are thinking about getting it, the standard 2Meg service is free.

I am with NDO, www.ndo.com. Absolutely brilliant ISP. I have been with them just over a year, and never once had a problem. Was very concerned by the horror stories from the well known ISP's, and am so glad I dipped for someone as good as NDO.

I don't think £19.95 is very competitive for 10GB transfer a month, although £24.95 for 60GB isn't too bad I guess in this day and age.

Nildram.....

but then again i work for them, so hardly surprising they are so amazing :D
is there any way you can check home much you use a m onth in terms of Monthly data transfer?

how much i use personally?

or are you just asking a general question?

yes there is a usage counter in My Controls which is the nildram control panel that customers have access to.

Good job I dont have to worry about little pounds and pences that much, good service and speed is far more important.

The point im making Mr Rockafella if that for £19.95 their 10GB package is uncompetitive, there are plenty of equally good ISP's offering 20GB at least for the same price.

I pay £19 with Newnet for example and get 25GB peak allowance, and unlimited off-peak usage.

I agree about speed and service being most important than the odd £, but when you can get more for your money, I don't like settling for less.

Ukonline ADSL2+ 22mbps (normally get between 16-19mbps depending on SRA)

you going to mention that unless his exachange is LLU enabled by UKonline then he won't be able to get anywhere near that speed?

Do you realise that if you put your hand in boiling water it hurts?

Kinda obvious really.

Ukonline.net > FAQ's/number checker/common sense/basic knowledge > Yes your exchange is enabled/No it's not enabled > See that wasn't hard was it.

im just in the process of switching from pipex to orange.
Just taken up an 18 month mobile contract and home internet is free! (or £5 a month for unlimited) with all 01 and 02 phone numbers free... and any orange mobile no free. Carn't really complain about that price !

There's no easy answer to be honest.

What will you use it for? Where do you live?
