Broken front fog light, is it an MOT failure?

Typical, my MOT is booked in on Tuesday and yesterday something smashed my front driverside fog light, the light still works its just the glass got all busted up and cracked

If I put it through the MOT as is, will it fail? Or am I better off taping them both up with electrical tape?

wasnt when i was a tester but that was 10 years ago.might of changed now

Nope, front fogs don't come into it. As long as nothing is sticking out that's sharp then it'll be fine..

I have a spare set in my garage if your interested..

it is if there meant to work so cover them in a sticker or tape so no light can pass through, and get it motd did this with mine because of the HID's

Cheers all, put it through with a cracked light kind of as a test for others in the future, thought it was more suspicious if I was to cover it up lol, and it passed so it's all good
