BT Vision - an info

  Dirty E91
Interested in this BT Vision thing, I've already got Freeview but this has the added benefit of movies and sports either as a prepaid package or on a per usage basis.

Was wondering if anyone has heard anything with regards to it being any good?

So basically its kind of a cross between freeview and sky +

You basically get all the freeview channels, plus sports and movies and you can record upto 80 hours of tv etc

It costs £90 to set it up then a further 20 a month!

Yeah for the £20ish for the broadband and you pay for the movies and extra programmed you watch outside of the freeview channel.

Was just wondering if it was any good, been on a few AV forums, seems like it works well and also outputs to HD.

Word of warning mate, you need fast broadband to get this service, say if you got 6mb broadband, switch on your telly it will chew up about 2mb maybe more of your connection. You also need the HoeHub which is a really bad bit of kit. Ive already read about people having lots of quality of service issues.
Read up on Non-BT sites first ;)

Didn't realise BT had Pro-BT forums ;)

Have read that BT say you need 2.5mb minimum but looking on AV Forums and Digital Spy Forums doesn't seem to cause many problems, have seen reports of the audio dropping out occasionally and the box freezing in the EPG but then seems be no more of a problem than on other PVR and freeview boxes.
