Bucket seat advice with 4 point harness

  Clio Sport 182
Hello there,
I am looking to buy a pair of bucket seats and 4 point harnesses for my Clio sport 182. I am not looking to spend much over £600 on this. Does anyone have any advice on comfortable seats which are fairly reasonably priced? Also would anyone be able to suggest what will be comfortable and reasonably priced out of cobra's, recaro's and sparco's please for street driving not track driving.
manu thanks
zack.

If its not for track use, why bother?

Buckets with Harnesses are annoying to get in and out of, and adjust everytime someone gets in the car and will be less comfortable than standard seats.

Where are you planning on mounting the harnesses? If it was me and for a road car, I'd save my cash.

I'm looking to get them because it will give me more of a racing feel when driving. It is something I would like to buy as I may occasionally take it on a track but is meant for road use. I was planning on mounting them on the runners and bolts already there. Will this work?

If you plan on keeping the rear seats, mounting the harnesses can be unsafe unless you do it properly. Google 'Racing Harness Setup' and lots of advice will come up. Mine are mounted to a roll cage.

I still think its a waste of cash, but if you are sure you want them, I'd look more for something like Recaro Trendlines than fixed back buckets. The latter will cause problems getting rear passengers in, and the cheap ones are uncomfortable.

The general rule with fixed back buckets - buy cheap and they will be uncomfortable. I have Sparco Evo's in mine, very comfy but they are £370 each not including frames or mounts.

Just to input I 100% get why you want them however i massively suggest going to a shop and sitting in a few if your going to fcs at the end of the month id hold on as they'll most likely do you a deal of some sort and you can sit in a few. ive had them monacos there okay but everyday there not great... i found the corbeau seat range to be the most comfy and at japfest they even offered to taylor make them to my size color etc for no extra cost... just remember you've gotta sit there alot so....

Also im a fat c**t really im a 38 waist and preferred the xl versions as i like to have my feet angled on the pedal and spread my legs rather than straight on the pedal with legs pushed together.

Monaco's are ok if you are just after a cheap bucket seat to get the sporty feeling, they are cheap for a reason however and uncomfortable imo

Personally, I find the Bimarcos very comfortable, I am quite tall and on the slim to average side.
they offer me great support where I need it, but every person will be different so you really need to try a few to make an educated decision.

you will need subframes, side mounts and runners for the majority of the decent bucket seats out there.

my harness points utilise factory anchor points either side of the seat, and the shoulder restraints fixed to a rear strut brace (not one that's fixed to the top of the strut itself, but actually welded into the chassis between the turrets itself)
