Bucket seats that can be adjusted

  172 Cup, mk1 fiesta
I had a quick search but can't find anything obvious.

Can bucket seats be fitted that can be on sliders. I am the best part of a foot taller than my girlfriend and we share the car. Would be nice if I could find a solution to the standard cup seats.

Cheers for any assistance

Yes you can buy them but IMHO the best way to do it is to adapt the standard subframes to fit your buckets, they are a really good quality slider where as most of the ones you see on buckets are pretty flimsy.

Yes....OMP low base frame, generic TUV approved bucket seat slider, side mounts then seat.

It a lot lower than what you'll get with adapted standard sliders which is what I needed due to head protection on my seats.

I don't see why his misses or anyone that's vertically challenged cant drive my car, it's on sliders?!?

That is the safest way possible IMO and you can go racing like this which I know wasn't in the question but shows that scouts deem it safe enough. Cutting and welding standard stuff is just a bodge.

There are two versions of OMP base frames (low and normal) and I am using low OMP side mounts (no drilling) and I'm sat about 40mm above the base frame with my seats.

I find my seat okay on the road car just now but you could remove the sliders on my setup to move 25mm lower and then another 20mm if you cut up the OMP base frames, anything lower and your basically bolting the side mounts to the floor which Jon R has done on here. That's a bit to low for me and I'm 6'3", my race car has the side mounts bolted to proper seat rails and that again is too low for me on the lowest side mount setting, I can't see over the dash binnacle.

What seats do you have as that makes all the difference? My seats are the outer shell and then 15mm padding on the bottom.

I have the same as in the pic (lhd though), with sliders and sparco sidemounts.
The seat is a bimarco expert.
Seat on the lowest holes.
Actually thinking of cutting up the frame, i'm only 1.73 but it feels almost as high as the original

Not sure what you have going on there but as said my sliders are only 25mm tall and the seat cushion is only 15mm.

Feel like your in the car rather than sat on it like you do with the standard seats.
