Not really fussed TBH, its just for occasional use - having looked at them again the slik has a max load of 3kg compared to 1kg of the other - so maybe the Slik is the better option!

tescos £12.97 bargain mate cant go wrong. its just as good as a £50 jessops job and comes with a carry case, easily too my canon 10d with battery grip and a large lens

They're rubbish, BF has one and it's so badly built, that when you push the shutter button, the camera shakes on the mount. Kind of defeats the point of having a frigging tripod really.

Depends what you want to do. dont go really cheap, youl regret it if theres anything more than a slight breeze. Ive got a Jessops number, cost about £80 and its spot on. Make sure you have a place you can attatch weights to for those really windy days.

like everything... you get what you pay for. £12 tripod is going to be s**t. Mine was £80 and steady as a rock.
