Ive heard of cases where the condensation that you see on the inside of the windows has got to the speaker cones and made them go brittle. I dont think its down to anything youve done wrong to be honest. It could be due to the hot weather or something causing a lt of condensation in the air which has warped the cones. Sounds like youve been having a bit too much back seat action..if you get my meaning...only joking...this is my guess anyway.
