if it's for the ring it's best to be "subtle". there is supposed to be a ban on filming and photography on the track, sometimes you'll get on fine and sometimes they will kick off.

I'm looking into doing this too.

A bullet mounting in the Renault badge like F0xys would be perfect.

But i don't have anything with video input. They should bring out a converter for iPod LOL.

get caught using it you get banned from the ring. seen it happen.

doesn't matter how concealed it is. if they start questioning you about anything and you don't speak german then you are out of there.

earlier this year they pulled a load of cars to one side for having moody plates and decided to seize the cars and interrogate people. wasnt pretty.

not trying to say dont do it, just be careful.

I'm still puzzled why they'd boot ye off the track just because you want to film yourself :(

You paid to go on it can't you take as many pics/videos as you like ?

The photographers there have to pay to take pictures there. If they let you take your own, then the photographers wouldn't get as much business (they sell you the high res copys) and the guys at the Nurburgring wouldn't get the money from that.

Simple. (that's how it was explained to me by one of the guys in their office at least).

On the subject of bullet cameras though, you'll easily get away with it. They're not going to inspect the car before you're allowed on. We've used headrest mounted camcorders plenty of times without trouble (I know if you went on enough, eventually someone would twig).
