bushes on rear axle

i popped into my local garage today as i have been having a bit of trouble with the rear passenger side damper (i thought) the bloke had a look and he seems to thing the axle bush ha some play in it as the tyre has worn a funny shape has anyone else had this probem????

What are the symptoms you get mate?

abnormal tyre ware and dog s**t handling and in the wet shocking at the rear even at 15-0 mph and some scrubbing on the rear passenger arch

my mot had an advisory for rear axel bushes slight play, that was on 03 car on 40k still handles spot on though no problems at all?

same as mine ...try the tyres first as they are a dump make

I had this on my MOT last year when it went in for a service in June I mentioned it tto the guys at Rentech and they said there is slight play but its quite normal. Very rare for them to need replacing and its a git of a job.
