My impressions are: The road is decent don't get me wrong but i'd be disappointed coming from any further away. It's fun but I much preferred the B roads getting there! I think it's the whole, massive summit that kinda puts me off. But other than that I loved it and glad it's finally off the bucket list

Your car really does look factory fresh. looks like a fun day out driving. I want to get over to Wales to spend the day driving, havent been there in years and the roads are very similar and twisty.

Me too, need to stretch its legs instead of just doing short journeys to work and back etc.

Best driving road in the north has to be the A640 though. The bends have good visibility.

Its good ( I live 2 mins away ) but it aint that good!! ha

Maybe in West Yorkshire, but not the whole north as you mention. Settlet to Hawes via Ribblehead is up there as the best road, and thats not even talking about the ones in Northumberland or the lakes!
