Buying 1*2 - Keep Dci or not?

  Clio DCi 65
Im currently looking to buy a 1*2,

Ive got a Mk2 Ph2 Dci 65 atm thats currently on 105k. Engine runs fine, car in good working order but its cosmetic side of things is a little slum. Would need a new frump bumper as i hit a wall ages ago and damaged it just under the passenger side light. Also would require to have dent sucked out from side of car (Not too visable until near car). Its got full tints all round and on 60mm Spax shock/spring setup and my pro race 1.2 17"s.

My general fuel spenditure atm commuting through the week is looking to be roughly 40-50 in it.

Question is.. Is it worth keeping and using the 1*2 as a weekend/night car and the Dci as a car for commuting to work and back for long journeys.

I could sell the Dci but i think it would be best to keep on the fuel side of things and keep the 1*2 milage down. Also, dont dont think that Dci is really worth that much anymore to bother selling consider its running costs.

Opinions?

depends mate, if it will work out financially cheaper for you to keep the dci, but i cant see it since your insuring, taxing, mot maintaining 2 cars

Well im currently not paying anything for the Dci, my parents bought it for me and i dont think i would even see £1500 for it back,

Using that for work to commute and insurance on Dci paid by my rents along with any running costs (exc deisel),

The RS would all be at my expense, which is within my budget.

Its about a 30mile trip to work and back daily, and i dont wanna rack any milage up on the RS,

Dci to stay im starting to think!

Well you have got to step back and look at the ever rising costs of fuel as this is a big part of performance car ownership...

I dont think id fancy owning two cars (or at least MOT'ing servicing and insuring two cars)

Still everyones circumstances are different, RS ftw

have you considered getting a good alllrounder tdi festa st tdi vag of some sortor ibiza 207 hdi

antoher reason why a rs dci clio would be a winner ;)

I been wanting an RS for the last 15 months lol and insurance is at a price im willing to pay now,

Parents would pay for all maintenance of the Dci and then i would sort out the RS + Derv fuel.

I'm going to be playing with £200 per week after payments for the car have gone out, thats to cover fuel etc and my general life.

Dci RS would be perfect, looked at MEG RS but i read couple bad reviews about it and hearts set on the RS lol.
