Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz

Recently my infinity tweeters have started to buzz for a secon, stop then buzz again. The sound always comes out anyway but even when the cd is paused they both make this noise. When I turn the volume to 0 it only comes out the left! Very confused as Ive had this setup for quite a while and its only just started. Also seems to get worse when they have been used for a while.

Cheers

Right just been out to have a better look and listen.

The interference is coming through all 4 speakers, the left door, left tweeter are the worst. The right tweeter is much worse when its been used for half an hour and the right door speaker isnt bad at all.

The power cables are down the left side and the rcas are down the right. Its earthed where the ISOFIX thing used to be. I reckon it must be the amp power cables that are interfering with the left hand speakers but I dont understand why the right tweeter has started to play up in the last week.

I also dont know why it would suddenly get worse progressivly. Any ideas? Earth hasnt been touched but worthwhile checking? Its not alternator whine either, heard that on someone elses car.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks

John

You say it gets worse the more you use it. Will be something to do with a charge build up in the system. Cant say anything more definite than that.

Have you changed any of the electrics?

Just had a thought, check all connections for left side of amp, any splits in the cable where bare +ve and -ve cables are nearly touching can act as capacitor, hence your problem gets worse the more you use it.

Or just check all connections?

could have rattled a few sockets out?

does it still do it if you un plug the rcas from the amp?

try playing a cd player through the amp to see if it does it?

it could be the high frequency switching that occurs in the power supply inside the amp
