Hi all
First post! I will soon be taking ownership of a very nice 55 plate 182 and want to do a full belt change, having researched a fair bit this all seems straight forward, very similar to a ford Zetec SE apart from access!
Can anyone please help with the tools needed, having been a toolmaker for many years I am very reluctant to pay out for inferior tools (read too tight) when I can make better ones myself.
First, could someone with a camshaft alignment tool please draw carefully around it on a piece of paper, measure and mark one dimension accurately, so that it can be scaled, then scan and post the image. I believe the thickness is 5mm is this correct?
Second, the cam pulley locking tool looks like a bodge and fiddly to use, to design and make a better one I need a scrap pulley to measure accurately (either will do), does anyone have one to spare for the cost of postage?
Many thanks
