cam belt

how many miles before i should change my cam belt... also how much has it cost everyone
should be interesting wot milage everyone has done

84k on the 1st belt, £200 it cost me last week for a new 1. (bloody mechanic snapped the inner wheel arch cover and 'forgot' to tell any 1....tit)

Well Renault say every 5 years or 72K.

I had mine changed last friday, my mk2 172 was on just over 71,000 miles.

my mk 2 has done 52000 might be ok for a good few more miles bit skint at mo off to center parks on fri too

Should be done every 5 years apparently Rubber perishes with time remember...

i had mine done today, 7 yr old car on 40k miles. there was slight signs of wear on the old belt, best to be safe than sorry...

Had mine done two weeks ago (belt and pullys). cars 02 with 27k on it. Yhe belt looked ok but you can't tell anyway but the pullys were leaking greese and wouldn't have lasted to long. cost £350 gen reno parts. Would have cost a lot more if one of the pullys had ceassed! < don't know how to spell!
