can you not just measure it?

but i would not be taking that cover off if i were you. the cams are spring loaded into the head via the cover,

have you locked the crank at TDC?

its going to be sent to a race engine specialist who is going to decode and remap the ecu and run it on a dyno

the engine will be completly out of time, before you removed the belt you should have locked the cramk at least.

i havent removed the belt yet all i have done is loosen the slackening nut and the nut on one of the wheels. im not an expert and dont know why taking the cover off is such a big problem. i had a qaulified mechanic with me at the time and he did not mention that there would be a massive problem. just that it would need to be retimed when it was put back together

  Clio's
well im sure the tools will be used then! im not retiming it and im sure the place that is will have the tools

if its timed up correctly, the tensioner is set correctly, and if he hasn't damaged the cams or the camcover then it'll be fine

but it sounds like he's tried to remove the camcover without removing the pullies = bad

cams should be left to the experts imo! I'd do pretty much anything, but thats the one part of the car I leave well alone.
