Has anybody done any videos on applying the sealant to the cam cover, I have had 3 engines now get rod knock etc so I'm wondering if I'm putting too much on and a bit of the sealant as come free and momentarily blocked the oil flow etc. Basically I just want to check I'm doing it the as I'm supposed to tia. I have just had a brand new bottom end built but reusing the head so I'm alot of money in now so I would like to get this right.

Renault roller it (loctite 519) on from factory.

Use that or the Victor Reinz stuff, not silicone sealant.

Hope you've washed the head out properly too, just in case there's any bits from the previous engine.

The loctite stuff must be used, it stays liquid so if you over do it then it doesn't block oil ways
