Cambelt and possible timing out

Hi im looking to do cambelt etc on car and was wondering how you alter the timing on these engines its a 182 btw

Im not expert on cambelts on these but you need 150 Quid's worth of timing tools as its not as simple as sticking a drill bit in the holes like on other types of engine.

If you don't have the tools then consider a specialist as labour will be about as much as the tools required..

Hi , its not a simple task on these F4R engines and if not done correctly using the proper timing tools you can cause engine damage or loose power if not timed up properly

By the time you've bought the tools and the parts you may aswell just use a trusted trader on here.

For the extra cost, it's nice to know you haven't f****d your own engine up.

True just trying to save 60 mile trip to diamond motors with not do great belt and i pretty sure timing iffy haha

A 60 mile trip is f**k all for the peace of mind. Not just that, but it's also a huge plus point towards the history of your car

Got a missus? Make a day of it whilst your cars being sorted.

The difference between a timed engine and one that is not is unreal, get a specialist to do it.

Yes,& it`s a 180 round trip for me.
The rail station is 5 minutes walk away.
