Im an apprentice mechanic for Arnold Clark Renault. its pretty Straight Forward.

To lock everything up

First you have to hamer a screw driver into the plastic end caps that protect the ends of the cams this reveals a Split Circular shape which has a big D and a Small D. You then turn the Crank shaft round so the big d's are just about horizontal then remove the male torx bolt from the front of the block and tighten the Crank Timing pin finger tight and giv it a quarter turn anti clockwise once this is done you should turn the crank pully clockwise so that the flywheel is locked against the pin and then the gap between the "Big D" and "Small D" Should be horizontal allowing you to insert the Camshaft Timing Tool. it is a Tight fit so persevere it will eventually go in. And thats the Cam and Crank Locked Fully.

After that its just engine mount off timing covers off. When you come to take the tensioner off you have to watch as theres a pin on the bottom of it that located into the block. and also remember where the allen key hole is because when u come to put the new tensioner on its easy to over tighten the belt etc.

just a quick vaugue outline of the basics hope this helps any mroe info feel free to pm me. Can also get a hold of any part numbers you may need.
