Cambelt Change 1.2

Can anyone tell me what miles a Cam Belt on a 1.2 16v needs changing, mate of mine just got one and wants to know

I remember it being around 40,000 miles on the new shape models, a renault technician told me when my mk1 was in for this job at 74,000 miles

I wouldnt always assume it wont need changing till 70k+.

My 172 has done 33k and its having the cambelt changed tomorrow

Its my new car, she is 51 plate and has only got 21k on the clock was just wondering when i would need to have it done.

Mine has 36,000 and is getting service tomorrow. Think the belt will need changing?
