Cambelt change

  Honda & VW
I am about to contact a couple of local garages (one is a Renault specialist) about getting the belts done.

what should i be asking when contacting them, clearly price but what else is worth mentioning as some probably have no idea about cliosports?

Some places don't bother with the waterpump... apparently it's vital to at least have it checked but most people say get it replaced at same time. Well, in a non-sport anyway... Don't see why it'd be any different for a sport.

  Mondeo TDCI 130
We don't change many pumps at all, actually changed one today that was showing signs of leaking!

But 95% of the time they are fine on the 1*2's! We just inspect.

non sports all run the water pump off the cambelt, K-block engines are well known for pumps failing and seizing and taking out the cambelt. F-block pumps aren't like this until you get to the latest generation (F4P in the laguna, F4R 830 in the 197) D-block pumps dont really endanger much either, they just leak

i kept the last pump i was asked to change as a spare for my own car, it was MINT, i advised not to bother and it was insisted upon
