Camera for < £250?

Oh hi.

New to all this camera malarky. I'm currently sporting a Sony Cybershot, which TBH isn't actually too bad. Think it's around 10MP, so has been doing the job up until now.

I'm looking around at the latest camera's, those being Canon, Olympus, Samsung etc. and was wondering if someone could recommend a reet good one for around £250. I haven't quite got into the "camera shutter speed" and all that, and although I don't think £250 will be quite enough for a decent spec camera that includes all the jargon of photography, I'm sure I'll figure that out in time.

Are you looking for a dslr Scutch or a bridge camera?

The lumix range (after 4 months research) comes out on top time and time again. I just got the FZ38 but maybe worthwhile looking on ebay at the FZ45 and FZ100.

Had a few comments from pro's who use the FZ range as their second camera for quick snaps and small trips.

Bridge camera in lamens terms is an slr but you can't change the lenses
