what camera do you use/recomend? im looking at spending around 250 pounds

I've just bought the Canon Powershot S2IS from amazon £302. Cant fault the camera.

High street price was £399.

I have the Sony Dsc F828 for more pro pictures and have a Canon Ixus 50 for just chucking in my pocket for ease.

I bought the Canon IXUS 750 just after it came out. 7MP, huge screen on the back, pretty small for what it is. Was just under £300 about 3 months ago so may be less now. It's a very nice camera.

Hey rob...

If you go for something smaller/more compact - you tend to lose features.

Depends if you want ultimate portability, or something with a a bit more to it.

I'd go for as high optical zoom as possible, with as many megapixels as possible.

Just got a Sony DSC-H1 and very happy so far. For compact camera, also can't fault my old Casio Exilim EX-Z40.

cheers but all a bit too big i wanted something like the
Panasonic FZ-20 but gf siad its too big for her to be carrying about all the time im looking at the power shot s80 ive foung it for 250 on the net

Best bet is to try it out in Jessops and then buy online.
