I got one of these recently - Sony DDW-890

1,000 watts, Dolby Digital 6.1, sounds stunning. Best thing is I can turn it right down when wife/daughter are in bed, but even at the lowest levels, you can still hear everything clearly.

nice a cheap, sounds great and good enough for Bluray but its no high end thing with lossless sound.

I connect via HDMI for picture and Optical for sound, thoroughly recommend it, got it from Empire Direct.

the above does not include a dvd player, you need an amp and speakers and thats the one i posted. YOu can also get a version with speaker stands included.

The link that I posted is just an amp, there's no DVD player. I just feed it optical from my Sky HD box and my Xbox 360.
