Can I just guess temperature when changing Clio auto trans fluid

  Clio
Sorry I wanted to delete my OBD question but can't find delete, as I read codes need specialist Renault readers.

When changing auto transmission fluid on my Mk2 1.4 2004 Clio auto, can I get the temperature roughly right by maybe running engine for 5minutes and shifting through the gears for this 5 minutes to bring it up to roughly the right temperature for a level check (50 degrees I think) ? Do you think 5minutes would be about right or does the temperature matter that much?

I'm wondering if the benefit of new auto gearbox oil outweighs getting the level slightly wrong when level checking because I cant accurately measure the temperature of it?
(Manual transmission fluid sets the level when cold, it's only when auto it says to warm it up to 50 or 60 Deg)

I saw that on a YouTube video and just assumed they would be too expensive. Just checked now on Amazon and they are only £20. Thanks.
