I dont get scams like this, would they just mug you when you went to look at it for a test drive etc or something? or would they be stupid enough to ask for a deposit up front?

They don't have that car (or any other car they 'sell') email him up & ask to see it, you'll get a story that it is currently in Italy or something & that you can pay for it up front, they'll ship it here.
He will suggest using a shipping company as he's done it many times before. The shipping company is bogus, it will look real, but it's not. He'll say that if you don't like it you can get a refund - by that time your cash has been transferred on about three times in three different countries.
You have no car & no money - that's the scam.

Thanks for clearing that up, youd stilll have to be a bit of a moron to fall for their scam tho!
