Yes you can. You need an RCA convertor for the speaker wires, or an amp that will accept speaker level inputs.

  172 coming soon
As said, you can get an RCA converter which is fed by the rear speaker outputs, it then takes their signal and transfers it to an RCA output for you to run an AMP off, or 2 if ya use a splitter (they will recieve the same signal tho), Last i seen, JL Audio done 1 of these for around £75

Failing that, Kenwood make some AMPs that are fed by rear speaker outputs as opposed to an RCA, which is great for this kind of application. In saying that, they arent th emost powerful amps from memory, but are substantial for a medium powered boot build (1000w or so...)

Contact JL Audio and Kenwood, explain to them what it is you are looking, and they will point you in the right direction of where to get their products

you would be bettre of just buying an aftermarket cd player, you can get some which look very factory fit like namakatchi and becker but they have much bettre sound than the reno thing they stick in.

Agreed. I wanted to amp the Renault unit up, but saw a new HU I liked and was amazed by the change in SQ just from replacing it even without an amp.

have a look on ebay, there cheap as chips, failing that cut the ends of a rca cable.

Yes you can. Don't know why 'rear' kept being mentioned above.

4 speaker wires from HU ----> RCA Converter ----> Amp ----> Speakers

You'd also need to patch into the switchable live on the back of the HU with the remote wire, to enable the amp to turn on with the ignition.

Used this to wire my sub and amp, and have to trouble with the quality. No idea how it will sound when amping up the speakers tho:S

yes you can but would be acomplete waste of time as standard HU are pants even comapred to basic after market replacements. Save the money you would spend on an adapter and but a £70 special from halfords or a bit more at somewhere decent like bassjunkies IMHO
