Lol, may seem a silly question! Or is it totally pointless putting a bog standard 1.2 on track? I'd love to have a go! And no, im not using the vee so please don't question it!!!

Me and a mate booked one of those 20 minute sessions at a show last year, i was in a c2 1.6 and he was in a 1.2 sxi corsa. When we saw what else was in our session on the day he pussied out lol, I still went on though and enjoyed being the only non turbo less than 2.0 car on track :rasp:

Its not what you drive... its how you drive it...

I shall remind you of Sebine Schmit (sp?) in a transit van going round the Nurburg!

If you know how to use momentum and not need pure power then there's no reason why not. Doing big power circuits with long straight would be a little pointeless though

Rob91 had his on oulton last month. He upset a few CTR's in the corners by all acounts. His is stripped and coilovered though.

I went watching a track day at oulton a couple of months ago and there was a bog standard scoda octavia estate on track. Proper poverty spec too, even had steelies. It was slow but the guy seemed to enjoy himself.

Cheers guys, im going to fit coilies on the 1.2 so i may have a go & if i like it maybe turn her into a track car ;)

I couldn't put my vee on the track, silly i know thats what they are for blah blah but i love her toooo much!

Must be awesome if you're too scared to drive it. Fair enough, each to their own etc. blah blah.

PMSL at turning a 1.2 into a track car when you have a mid engined RWD hyper-car. Nowt as queer as folk

You can have fun in any car on a track. Best I've seen is a Pug 106 1.0L . with standard everything. A couple of teenagers sharing the car going sideways mostly, they were definitley havving fun. So a 1.2 Clio should be no different.

Suppose you can track a 1.2, just like you could go shopping in a V6. Just up to you what you want to do. I can see why you dont want to spoil the V but its only a car, it wont hurt it have some fun init. Just my opinion your v is lovley, but im sure it would be more fun flying around the track init than polishing it? Give it a go? If not just enjoy your cars how you want to :)

I suppose you could track your 1.2 but IMO I think once you got there/did a lap, you'd wish you had your V6 there instead.. which could put abit of a downer on the day?
