Canon 300mm f4 L ... what a lens.

  Mk2 ph1 clio
Just bought one from a friend and i love it already.. had it since tuesday and the quality on the L glass is brilliant.

I have only had one morning to test it out and managed to grab these two shots..

He attempts to dive but stops mid dive and turns round and flies off about 60ft away and hovers for a few seconds, I managed to grab a half decent shot of him but it is a heavy crop...

Haha that lens is massive! Would love to do some street candid shots with that! The looks you would get.

lol Bargain price of £300 .. couldnt say yes fast enough!

It's fking heavy but worth it, the focusing on it is so fast, you press thre shutter and its in focus, AI servo works perfectly with it too.

Im after the 100-400 L now!

lol @ tad scruffy. Is a good lens, had mine around 2 years, but wasn't too disapointed when i sold it, just wasn't right for me. Have you got a case for it? Or has it had one before?

I have no clue, I know its been used for wildlife previously and I've used it before i actualy bought it.

I took that photo of its worst side.

The lads i see have the canon 400 an 500 L and there more grey than white!

This is ideal for me, i usualy use my sigma at 300 and nothing less!

Looks like the non IS version. Real great lens. Mine never leaves my bag and find its always on my 1D. :)

£300 is not a bad price. I paid £370 for mine about a year ago now. Only issue was crack on the window.

Congrats on the new toy. You will get used to the weight easy. :)
