Canon 350D - Cleaning Sensor!

OK, got my stuff today to clear my sensor of dust and it was quite a tense moment when i opened that sensor up!

Have given it about 4 cleans now as once doesn't seem to do it, you have to be quite forceful on the pump to rif the dust, and i still haven't managed to get everything off it.

Did a few tests at F36 to see what was happening each time and I could see the dust moving aroung the sensor LOL.

Anyway, I think I am done for now, will maybe give it another go at the weekend when I have more time and see if i can get rid of it all although i don't want to mess too much. At least I am confortable with opening the sensor now etc.

Thats is the only problem with the rocket blower approach as it just moves the dust around in some cases. If most of it is gone dont worry. The 70-200 is sharp wide open at f4 anyway so just keep an eye on the apperture and you will be fine anyway.

How on earth did you get it that dirty when you've only had the camera for 5mins?

if you check out Lee's red arrow pic he has exactly the same as me, maybe you haven't had yours at F30 before against the sky to notice it, I didn't until my red Arrows pics.

Tips are that if the dust isn't too noticeable in most shoots, dont bother cleaning it as you can often make things worse/not make them better. Try to clean it as little as possible, but when necessary, do it ;)
