i think there is a tamron one as well but personally i would go for the sigma, i have heard/seen some good things about it

From what i've seen (i did some research before parting with my cash!) the Sigma seems to be the best of the bunch. Canon one gives very similar pics but for something like twice the price !?

I got mine from Amazon. £400 for the Sigma is a lot of cash but .. what a lens !!

I have not seen any reviews of the Tamron yet. Might look into it.

I bought the Tokina 12-24 as it was a 2nd hand bargain and too cheap to miss. They also offer really good image and build quality but the 2mm at the wide end makes quite a difference.
