Cant connect to the internet

I can with wi-fi but not through safari with the wi fi off? Any ideas?

So you can get on the internet with wi-fi. But when you turn wi-fi off, you can't get on the internet?

Yep. I turn wifi off, try and load the internet through safari, says its loading then eventually a message 'couldnt connect, server timed out' or similar to that. One of the guys in work whos got the 4 can connect straight away, making mine look well, crap lol. Any ideas? Trying to phone Orange now

You obviously have no data connection.

Top left where you have signal strength and then your network name. With wifi off, is there anything else in that corner?

Lol yeah ive paid the bill. Top left has the bars, Orange and 3g. Everytime i speak to them they ask me to go in to settings and go to the enable 3g option which i havent got, that and cellular dating, again i havent got that either.

you should have it, go to settings > general > network > turn mobile data on.

Nope tried that. Apparantly i need to reset the handset and run itunes again

Yep done that loads of times mate. I get the phone on Friday, set it up Saturday. Using wifi at home it was superb, really quick. Did a test against a mate whos got the 4, mine was quicker. Did a test against my g/f's s2 and it was of equal speed. But i could not connect to the internet through Safari, at home, work anywhere. After umpteen calls to Orange i was no better off. Reset all settings, did this, did that no better. Double checked they had set my data connection up, they had apparantly. I got fed up and said i want to send it back and set my old phone back up please which they did. The trusty HTC Wildfire, slow to get internet but it allways worked lol. So switched the phone on said to myself f$£k the iphone and went to browse the internet, guess what, it didnt load. What the f&&k.... Ran Orange agian to ask why this isnt working and spoke to a really helpfull guy who said i will sort it. Three txt msgs later telling me new updates, turn phone off etc and low and behold internet is up and running. Sorry to go on but its been a frikin pain in the ass
