80MPG BEEZA
i recently put my 182 manifold and decat on and i have the manifold lambda in but the 2nd is dc'd and bolted closed,
the first few days sometimes when i started the car it blipped itself upto 3k which i though "fair enough it needs mapping"
late on an afternoon i gave it a quick blast back from a 20 min drive as i was approaching a hill i put the car into 4th and dabbed the accelerator as i was about to go througha schicane, The car felt like it pulled by itself upto 3k but i thought nah must just be me
Yesterday i had some kn*b right up behind me so i put my foot down on the last road before my turn in and the car felt like it was either 1.juddering 2.losing traction.
so i dropped the gf off and gave it a blast up the road as i dipped the clutch in it blipped itself twice upto almost 5k!
i left any trials till today, i set off 10 mins early for work and let it warm up and took it down a long stretch of road (i check my engine mounts all were tight no play) i accelerted full throttle upto **mph then slowed down and did it again and it seemed sound,
i slowed down for the next roundabout and dropped into 3rd around 2k rpm i just touched the go pedal when exiting the roundabout and it was off accelerated by itself upto 5k i was papping every gear if i touch it just slightly it was pulling by itself, i got to works car park and when i dipped the clutch it was revving to 5k and back to idle by itself i managed to park it up
last break i went out turned it over it blipped to 4 n a half then settled at 1k and didnt budge i let it warm up for 15 mins then turned it off, left work it hit 4k when i started it, but exiting the car park it started to pull, i put it in 2nd and let it pull it took me to 3 n a half then let go and let me have control it wud let the revs die backdown and let me build them gradually up but if i just clipped the throttle it took off by itself
i need held and advice please, its scarey as i dont want it to do it whilst going round a corner or junction
i was thinking reset the ecu and clean the TB, where is the idle control valve? could this be linked? or can i lie all this mental behaviour on just needing to be mapped?
