car cutting out on hill!

my clio has been cutting out recently at the top of the hill on my way out of work, it happens every other day or so and only when the engine is cold. the revs drop off as i slow down approaching the junction at the topm of the hill then it just dies.

has anyone else experienced this or know what it might be? it's really frying my head now

Yeah had similar problem on my old 02 plate 1.2 but mine was shaking too. It was the spark plugs
