Car lost all power from engine??

Was on way back from work and car was fully warmed up i put my foot down in 1st then into second and i lost all the power from my engine put foot on throttle nothing there pulled over car was still running but a light was on dash the Preheating/electronic fault light. I tried reving the car reved once but couldnt rev it loads i drove of and car would only get 5mph out of each gear whats happened to my car im really annoyed at mo?? HELP!!

Sounds like it may have went into limp mode or something, try and get a diagnostic done to solve the problem..... could be something really simple tbh

get it plugged in, but i'd bet it will be either the throttle or pedal potentiometer.

It seems to be ok now was running fine last night

Sounds to me like your car has developed a mis-fire in one of the cylinders. It could be a failed coil pack or the HT Leads or it could be a faulty injector.

Either way, get it to a reputible garage (not Renault) and get them to plug it in and see whats what.

Sounds coil pack related as Danny says. A plug and play will prob give you the answer.

Is the light on the dashboard still illuminated? Id go and get it checked out.

Not somthing id want to contend with barraling down the motorway!
