Car Modding on Forza 3

Every time I touch a car on Forza I seem to ruin it lol.

I always start with better brakes, tyres and coilovers... yet I still seem to make cars drive worse!

Help?

  S4 Avant
Stiffen suspension up, bump softer than rebound
Front camber 2 degrees, rear 1 - dont normally touch toe or caster.
brake bias 60-70% front

differential you need to play with, for high powered rear wheel drive cars, I find sticking the diff on the lowest setting makes it a bit more tame, and easier to handle.

(thats just the settings i use, I might learn something here as well)

I just max everything out so My cars so much faster than everyone else it doesn't matter if I can't go round corner without skidding half a mile every time I accelerate out of them

Thanks for the advice so far :)

Also, while I'm here...

What's the best car to get to race in the higher leagues (1000bhp +) ?

F50 GT. I think the veyron is only car that goes over the 1000 I'm not 100% sure bout that though... That handles like a tank so harder to keep up with R classes unless there's a lot of straights. The higher classes just have a the same hp as a m5 but weigh as much as a bag of flour

with the R classes just go for the one with the biggest number

I think from reading the ford gt can get up to crazy bhp.

If you've got a car that spins the wheels the moment you look at the accelerator then alter the diff settings under acceleration. You need to change it by a lot.

I knock brake pressure down to 85 - 90%, dont seem to lock up so easily.

You must be pressing the Brake button too hard! I normally up the brake pressure a bit, hardley need to touch the brake button at all then for it to kick in and I find allows to brake a bit later entering corners too....

When i first started playing I was locking up constantly, now i just knock the brake pressure off a bit and it seems to work for me. But then again ive not been playing it long

Off topic. I love really f**king the car up. Higher it as much as I can and stiffen the suspension. Set the camber 100% Negative. FLOL-mobile..

LOL I put the suspension all the way up, make it soft as s**t, positive camber etc. on a Range rover. Tripodding around every corner, roll's over easy too!

When I R SRS. I strip weight, coilovers, tires, everything to do with handling, then start adding power. Tweeking the setup as I go along really! Too much power will fook it up.

And to da ^ I have a 900bhp Saab 93! FLOL

lol believe it or not my SRS car is a C class 197  set up to perfection! the rx7 is great until the turbo spools up then your off the road no matter what gear your in LMAO

B and A Class cars should be your bread and butter.

So much scope for different setups within those ranges. I have drift cars, touring cars and time attack setups all within those two classes. I barely have any cars above A Class.

Nearly all my cars aren't AWD too. Makes them boring. Same with the aerokits. If you're doing a long race, you've gotta have something to keep you awake. Like a 450bhp Elise, for example. Or a 1100bhp Supra. lol.

400ish bhp MX-5. Win. Think its class A, with a red bumper, red door and white wing. Slammed with Borbet As and set up for drifting. It rocks.

this tbh!

anyone can just whack every performance part on any car and make it undrivable, i feel that the fun part is limiting yourself to a certain class (such as a or b) and picking the most suitable mods for that, that way some people may pick certain upgrades over others and it created abit of skill to modifying..

thats what i think anyways..

i have a clio v6 with 600ish bhp, beats veyrons and ferraris, it has everything on it though, shortend the gearbox too, not by too much, maxes out about 170, but thats fine for most tracks i find, i also have a 450bhp elise which i love driving, sticks to corners like jizz :)
