Car Polishing

Got the odd light scratches around the car that are just lacquer damage and swirl marks and fancy giving it a good polish for the first clean and then keep on top of it as needed. Going to use megs scratch-x by hand for some of them and also have some swirl-x however machine polishers are quite expensive so wouldn't mind hiring one as i will only need it the once but im stuck to find one!

but i don't think it has a speed control which i think i need. Other than that if i bought some megs velcro polishing pads i should be fine?

I got the silverline rotary poisher for about £32 delivered, was a good few months ago though. Think it cost me about £70 with all the pads etc. Well worth it imo.

Do you have any experience in machine polishing? If not, don't buy a rotary.

Worth searching in the specific "detailing" sub forum fella.
