Car Starts, then Dies, any suggestions

Not every time but most of the time.

I start the car, it starts fine, the revs gradually go down, then the car cuts out. Any suggestions why this could be?

agreed - its sooooo blumin common too - low idle eventually stalling the car - get it to renault who should be able to disgnose it in about 3secs lol!

Right, the light in the right bottom corner is on now on the right side of the dials, it's an engine symbol which glows orange.

Also keeps going into Limp mode, How much would Renault charge to sort this out??

Unlikly to be temp sensor most likly coil packs throttle body dirty or tDC censor.

Well, I thought it looked a little bit like a helicopter, there is an identical symbol in the middle that says stop inside it??

will it drive if you get the gas on? if so is it lumpy and noisy? i'm thinking coil pack too

you would think so wouldnt you. I have the same problem, but its normal apparently.

Yes, felt all stuttery when I drove it back from town, however the Limp mode doesn't seem to kick if i'm just driving on town roads, didn't come on until I was on the Dual carriageway doing 65+

stuttery suggests to me its not firing on all cylinders and a coil pack has gone, quite common with renaults, I'd replace all 4 not just the faulty one as they'll all go one after the other if not, sods law.

OK most people have said coils. Can I replace these my self with parts or would it be best taken to the Renault dealer?? Could somebody please give me a rough idea of how much this is going to cost

Ok so they are easy to change, how much is it going to cost me for replacement parts??

make sure it is the coil pack first, no sense changing them till you know for fact that they are the problem, I dunno what they cost for a 1.4 16v but goto Eurocarparts website and search or German Swedish French.
