Car wash with inbuilt wax.

Any good ones, as it's constantly wet/fecking cold i've not waxed or done anything over than washed my car, anything i can use that has some sort of protection built it?

i use turtle wash and wax. tbh, dont see much of a difference between this and the 'natural' shampoos. no wash will help you tbh, just layer it up nicely and keep it clean.

I would advise a wax as you dry product rather than a wax in the shampoo product.

Wash the car with your normally shampoo, rinse and then spray on one of the wax as you dry products and dry. Unlike the waxes in shampoo's which may add a tiny amount of protection you can get some proper protection out of the use them wet waxes.

Off the Shelf Autoglym Aquawax, mail order Duragloss Aqua Wax the later is slightly easier to use.

Is there a spray on wax that won't smear on glass or mark the rubbers?

I always wanted to have a wet clean car, then spray it with a liquid wax then dry as normal.

Is this possible??

Duraglosss Aquawax, havent used the AG equivalent so cant comment. BUT Duragloss smells nice and lasts well

Dito the above - You can use the Duragloss all over including the glass and trim the Autoglym only seems to work on the paintwork.

Well i went to Halfords, they didn't have anything apart fomr Meguiars NXT Tech Wax spray, much cop?

You should have picked yourself up some Turtle wax " wax it wet " It's really good stuff , the beading lasts for weeks .

Wash the car in the normal manner then just spray this onto the wet car , leave it for a few mins to haze over then wipe down with a drying towel. Job done . I use it alot when i'm pushed for time or when i don't want to be out in the cold for hours . Believe me , it's very good stuff and a bottle will last for a few car washes .

can that duragloss be used on top of hard carnauba waxes to top them up (without stripping them ofcourse)?

The Aquawax is meant to be used while the car is wet before you dry.

hey dude, we use a wash and wax made by Wurth uk, they supply garages etc with lubricants, bits of things.

Anyway, its the best i have ever used, when you wash the shittyest of cars, the water beads off nicely, you can see there is a decent amount / spec of waxing agent, if you want you can nick some to try??

You can mix Mer Shampoo with Mer Polish, that works nicely!

Been trying the AG aua wax out for past week, gives nice shine and beading, but i have found it quite hard work.
Still prefer megs liquid wax.

How did you find it hard work ? Apply it to a wet panel and remove with a plush drying towel as you dry ?

Just felt like u needed to rub quite hard to buff the wax

You using it on dryish panels if so it is hardwork, liberal spray onto a wet panel and it is no different to drying the car without it using a large plush drying towel ? First time i used it the panels where almost dry and I found the same problem.

No probs - had the same problem here before, I purposely don't sheet the water off so well with the hose no and leave the panels a bit wetter when I know I am going to use it.
