Car won't start after clearing fault code

Clio 182 here.

I had an engine warning so plugged in my OBD2 and using Torque revealed the common "02 sensor bank 1" issue. Nothing operationally serious so I went to clear code, app reported all good.

Went to start the motor, which had been running fine prior to fault code clearing and it won't fire up. Turns over about 6 times and then just stops. Need to fully reset the key to go through the process again. Same thing.

Have I messed up my ECU in some way, can an OBD2 and app mess this all up?

Does the immobiliser light do anything? Top centre of dash display.

Hi, yes, it goes off as it should, from blinking, to solid, to off.
I'm still stuck so it's off to the garage on Monday...

I doubt you would have done any ecu damage,

It maybe different to a 182, but i plugged in my non sport before with a cheap code reader and the lead had a poor connection with the reader and caused a little spark, and it then wouldnt start (it wouldnt even turn over so is probably different to your issue)

Turned out that i managed to pop a small fuse in the passenger side dash
Was fine once this was replaced
