My Clio refuses to start, got the following fault codes showing so any insight would greatly help and be appreciated:

DF002 - throttle potentiometer, track 1intermittent
DF002 - throttle potentiometer, track 2 intermittent
DF002 - throttle potentiometer intermittent
DF045 - MAP sensor intermittent

The car will start and run even without the MAP Sensor (The ECU will go to a known "Safe" all be it governed parameter). Saying that though, the same can be said for the throttle setup and with either hte pedal or throttle body disconnected the vehicle *should* still start but hold a fixed engine speed of 2.5k or 4k

I assume the red LED in the center of your clockset goes out and isn't on solid?

Hi Mick,

Yeah the red led does the usual flashing until ignition turned on then goes out.
Before when car struggled to start I used to be able to get it to fire into life by pressing the accelerator but now it just turns but won't fire into life, seems like accelerator is doing nothing.
Car has also had a new battery fitted and TDC (albeit not one with modified loom) to rule that out.

It's fuel injection, pumping the pedal won't do anything.

You need to start proving that essentials have power and earth's im afraid.

Thanks Mick,

Hopefully got someone coming to look at it tonight if not I'll need to see about getting it towed to a local specialist!
