carbon bonnet

where's the best place to get one and who has one? what are your thoughts?

mark 2 , basicly i have to have a new bonnet so £85 + painting is around £200 so im looking at paying around 300 tops for a carbon one on a black car

I have one on mine.

Not all plain sailing from then on !!!

I found that a common problem with anything but the origional bonnet the water leakes in from the seals. (water seals on car at back of engine bay and front area.

This water can cause problems and certainly did to my car...

Ive seen it happen to other cars with a CF bonnet fitted also,water comes in from the sides as the bonnet shrinks with heat.

cant say ive ever looked on mine for that problem. but will start checking now as youve made me paranoid lol

only inconvenience is that i still havent got round to sorting a bonnet catch so i have to wedge a piece of wood in, which isnt the safest thing in the world. i also had to run a washer jet onto the scuttle panel. apart from that im alright
