Carbon wrapped V6 airbox

Has anybody ever thought about wrapping a v6 airbox in a carbon wrap before, i wonder how easy it would be and if there would be a problem with heat??

I guess in thoery might be worth a try.

If you could get hold of some fairly rigid sheets and you trim the existing box carfully, you could probably cut out the majority of the middle and only have the carbon with plastic end caps

Iv seen a few people wrap things recently and thought it would look quite good if it could be done properly.

Maybe try one of the companies that vinyl wrap cars? The contours and shapes they have to cover on some cars are veri intercite

And also someone on here does detailing bits with carbon ! Looked very good what he did. Will try the search and look it up for you

now i'm beginning to doubt if this stuff used is real carbon...:S

Anyway it sounds like a good idea wrapping it; especially when leaving some space between carbon + the plastic of the box. Good heat insulator
