Well even a full CF bonnet would weigh less than 2KG,much lighter than a normal bonnet i would imagine.

Full CF layup? About 1.5 KG at a rough guess. Problem is the bonnet on a standard car is part of the crumple zone, a headon impact on a CF bonnet would just crack it.

Well the CF once cooked will be about 1KG on that sized panel, if it is a proper CF layup it will have nomex core to add strength.

I was putting down the weight as being roughly 7 - 8kgs!

Its for a bonnet to be picked up.. you just saved me about £30! lol

You have to remember i work with F1 parts. Joe Bloggs panels may be heavier,infact i guarentee they will be heavier.

Its from ktech, iv estimated 3kg to be safe! Still alot cheaper than i thought!
