Carlack - Opinions Needed

ive got a PC, but basically ive got it because im lazy, unless its the summer their is no way id spend the amount of time some people do on my car every week

my usual all in one has been AG SRP but as its xmas soon i was going to ask the mrs to get me the Carlack combo to see what its like

presume the all in one can be PC applied, id think SFX-2 pad would be correct ?

also does the sealant need to be done by hand, or can i use a very soft pad at a low speed ? maybe a lake country black ?

are they cream liquids, or more watery like AG EGP ?

also, what are they like ? easy on/off ? good durability ?

Systematic Care is slightly more watery than than SRP, will be ok by polishing of finishing pad, though I have found it tricky to work as it dries quickly, I normally use it by hand. Same product as Klasse AIO.

The Long Life Sealant is watery like EGP and needs applying very thinnly. again I use by hand.

If you don't own the sealant already I would go for Jeffs AGT trigger which is the reformulated Long Life Sealant in a spray form - wipe on and wipe off so much easier. It can also be layered straight away. I use it over SRP or Klasse AIO / Carlack 68 Systematic Care .

ive got Sonus Acrylic Glanz, which i understand is a spray form of Carlack Sealant ?

I understood it as more of a QD type spray to maintain and top it up rather than the Jeffs which was reformulated Carlack Sealant / Klasse SG in a spray form.

well it says on the bottle, not to be used as a detailing spray

im looking at the carlack because its something ive always wanted to try, and it seems one of those products which will never go away, ive bought tons and tons of products which were recommended which turned out to be nothing special, XXX wax being one of them for a start

Yeah it is not a true QD in dust removal senses and was designed to maitain the Klasse SG finish, but still not a true stand alone spray sealant.

Wipe on and Wipe off, 1 layer of that over Carlack AIO topped with Zymol Titanium is still beading like hell on my daily drive 3 months on. Apart from using up my EGP supply on wheels Jeffs is my go to sealant every time, as easy to use as a QD spray.

I'd go for either the Jeffs like Rich says or Chemical Guys Body Blitz spray sealant.

not bothering with most Chemical Guys anymore, i think all the hype around them is a joke, most of the products are ok, but nothing special at all, the trim gel is good, as is the interior dressing, but the other products ive bought have been 'ok' at best

sticking with Sonus where i can from now on, but they dont do a sealant apart from the spray which ive got, not used it yet only had it a few days

The only reason why it is 'easy' to work with compared to the Carlack is you are applying it differently.

Seriously try applying Carlack Long Life Sealant in the same way. Wipe on wipe off and it is super easy to use as well.

I don't buy into hype either...but I have used a lot of the CG products and many of them re really good. The 50/50 wax is still brilliant too. I don't think any of us recommend products we havent used!

I have tried applying my Klasse SG in that way and did not get great results. So the reformulation is just adding distilled water ?


Out of the Chemical Guys Stuff the Synthetic QD and 50/50 is the only stuff I still use occassionally.

One of the best CG products is the microfibre wash...I never leave home without it...

Their EZ Glaze and shampoos are also used here.

i didnt like the EZ glaze, didnt seem to do anything for me, pointless and resultless product IMO, just like the XXX wax
